This link is to let people with asbestos diseases know they are not alone. There is help available!

Hello,
It has been ages since I've posted on here, life got busy and time has slipped by!
I recently received an email from someone who fought mesothelioma cancer and she has asked me if I would share this link on my blog, in hopes to help others (her email is below) if your reading this and have this disease or a disease caught by asbestos exposure, I wish you well, and hope that you find help like Katherine did and wish you blessings and good health! Here is the link she asked me to share.

Happy Valentines day!
Connie

My name is Katherine Keys and I have been fighting mesothelioma cancer for the past 9 years. If you don’t know, mesothelioma is a cancer caused by asbestos exposure. My exposure came from doing years of wiring work for Texas Power and Light Company.
At the age of 49 I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Pleural Mesothelioma and was told I had less than two years to live. But I was determined to stay positive and beat this cancer against all odds! My treatment included having my right lung and the lining of the lung removed--a major surgical procedure. Soon after, I began several months of radiation therapy.
I am overjoyed to say that my fight paid off and now 9 years later I am still cancer free! But I know I did not face this battle alone. The doctors and staff at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center are true miracle workers and I am forever grateful to them.
I was also helped greatly by the Patient Advocates at Mesothelioma Lawyer Center. Not only did they help me obtain financial compensation which helped with my treatments and quality of life, they genuinely care about my well-being. I am proud to call them my friends and they continue to stand by my side as I fight mesothelioma.
I feel it is my duty to give back to the community--to let people with asbestos diseases know they are not alone. There is help available!
Would you be so kind as to post a link to MesotheliomaLawyerCenter.org on your website? I know together we can help a lot of people!
I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!
 Katherine

"Welcome to the Cirque Du Bebe" Here are some pictures of my daughters baby shower (vintage circus theme)

The front porch, I put balloons, made a small banner above the door, put big old fashioned style lights on the bushes, and put a few things on my vintage yellow chair.
a more centered picture
The banner I made out of scrapbook paper and ribbon and yarn to add texture
I found this old porcelain clown that my husband bought for our daughter in Brazil when she was little, so perfect!
I put colored push pins in the white mini pumpkin

I painted polka dots with gold glitter glue, and made a bird out of clay and put it on the top of a straight pin

The sign I made on the computer with circus themed fonts

I found this cute circus themed cork board at Hobby Lobby

The goodies table. I made cotton candy and put it in cute mini cups, and had a ferris wheel and put some on there for decoration  but it got so warm in my house it melted (even though we had literally just made it right before people came)

some of the fun candies I found at the party store and ordered on line, the pink pig gummies and pink candy corn were from nuts.com (very cool site for different candy and good quality)
The melted cotton candy :/ and colored, frosted animal cookies added a fun touch

I added a picture of my daughters maternity picture and ultra sound to a candle, and the macaroons turned out perfect!

clown toppers for my cupcakes

Me and my girls hung colored crepe paper to try and make a tent effect.

I hung an old vintage wired crate like thing with colored ribbon that matched the shower colors and bought a little monkey (on the clearance at the party store for a 1.50 :) and cut off the red ribbon it had on it and added a pink one to make out look like a headband and then hung it from the crate to do "acrobat"

One of my girls drew the "come one come all" on my chalkboard, turned out so cute!
